INTEGIRLS Math Competition

The INTEGIRLS Math Competition consists of individual, team, and relay rounds along with fun STEM related activities for girls and non-binary individuals! All levels of math experience are welcome! 

Our Math Competition isn't just about winning through equations and formulas; it's about building connections, engaging with peers, and celebrating the beauty of math. Our competition participants attend to join a wonderful community, and we're thrilled for YOU to become take part in this experience with us.

All you have to do is sign up, and INTEGIRLS will place you in a team of up to 4 people. If you already have a team, however, let us know who they are in the form! 

This competition is designed for girls and non-binary individuals only. If you do not identify as either of them, you are more than welcome to volunteer and support us as a proctor. Please email us at baltimore@integirls.org for inquiries. :)

Who can participate?

This competition is open to all female-identifying and non-binary students under the age of 18. You do need to live in Baltimore to compete. If you do not fall under these requirements, please consider helping out as a volunteer! All competition participants and volunteers will receive certified service hours from the INTEGIRLS nonprofit. 

How can I register for this competition? 

The competition recommends a team of 1 to 4 people. For the team round, we will place you in a team of up to 4 people in the same division as you! All you need to do is sign up through the form at the bottom of this page.


If you've already talked to a few people you want to work with, that's great too! In that case, please have all your team members fill out the sign-up form (e.g. a team of 4 will fill out this form 4 times).

When and where will the competition take place?

The competition will be held virtually :)

What is the format of this competition?

The competition has two divisions: 

Middle school: 12-14 yr. old

High school: 15-18 yr. old

There will be three rounds: individual, team, and relay. All rounds will be a combination of number theory, combinatorics, geometry, and algebra.


You do not need to stay for the entire duration of the competition! You may choose to participate in any combination of the rounds depending on when you’re available.


What is the difficulty level of this competition?

Our amazing problem-writing team, which includes students from MIT and Caltech, is hard at work to ensure that there will be problems for problem-solvers of all levels! All levels of math experience are welcome and encouraged to participate. The middle school problems will range from introductory to AMC 10 level, while the high school problems will be more advanced. Team round problems will cover various difficulty levels. 

How can I practice for the competition? 

For sample problem sets, please take a look at this link! The problems for our fall 2024 competition will be of similar style and difficulty.
